Absolutely fascinating and innovative -- never seen something like that before Interactive London Travel Time Tube Map. Click on a station and the animated map rearranges itself, concentric circles indicating the travel times from there! (Needs Java)
And a more mundane Interactive Moscow Metro Map that indicates the travel times after you've clicked on start, destination, and then on the "Search" button. |

^^ Thanks for that link! Unfortunately the menus seem to be completely in Russian, so I couldn't even figure out how to switch to another city. But when playing with the Moscow map I at least found some "wow" features like the 3D view that even seems to show the depth of the metro stations. That definitely looks interesting! When will they have an English version?

To change language, choose Настройки (Options)>Дополнительно (Parameters),
choose Интерфейс (Interface) and change language (window with Русский in Язык)
To change city, choose Options>Parameters
Also, you can find some information about station and its 2D and 3D schemes like this one:
by double LB clicking on this station _________________ May 15 - Moscow Metro's birthday |

| Really great, thanks! Only a few cities have the complete set of features though. Most have an assumed constant distance of 2 minutes between stations. The 3D only really seems to work (with varying station depth) for some Eastern European cities like Moscow, Novosibirsk, Prague, St. Petersburg. |
